This festive season, Vegas would be in the grips of the country fever yet again, as chart-topping artists would take the stage in the celebration of excellence.
The fourth annual American Country Awards returns at Las Vegas’ Mandalay Bay Events Center on Tuesday, December 10.
The star-studded event would witness performances by country music superstar Brad Paisley, nine-time Grammy Award winner Sheryl Crow with Darius Ricker, and the hit trio Lady Antebellum. Others set to mesmerize the audience will be the likes of Kellie Pickler, Jake Owen, Brian Kelley and Tyler Hubbard. ACAs would also feature appearances Sara Evans, blues rock band ZZ Top’s Billy Gibbons and TV show Glee’s Matthew Morrison.
Paisley would also receive the 2013 Video Visionary Award in recognition of his creative and entertaining music videos over the past 15 years.
Presenters would include Rodeo champions Trevor and Shada Brazile, as well as Grammy Award winner Olivia Newton-John and other renowned artists such as Big Smo, Lauren Alaina, Cowboy Troy, Parmalee, Thompson Square, Scotty McCreery, Dan King, Chris Young, Clay Walker, Carrie Keagan and Joe Nichols.
Multi-platinum recording artist Trace Adkins would host the ACAs for the fourth straight time, and will be joined by NASCAR superstar Danica Patrick. In addition to hosting, Adkins would also perform a rendition of the popular Christmas song ‘The Little Drummer Boy’ with illustrious drummer Kenny Arnoff and other guests.
As always, winners in the 21 categories would be decided according to online voting – as fans would not only choose year’s top artists, albums, songs and videos, but also the best touring artists. Heading the list is Taylor Swift with eight nominations, including artist of the year and single of the year. Country pop duo Florida Georgia Line and Blake Shelton each received seven nominations.
Come December 10, make sure to be in attendance at the Mandalay Bay to catch the performances live, and see who gets to take the coveted electric blue guitar trophy home.
