Taylor Hicks is a product of the 2006 American idol which remains the most highly rated season to date for producing the most successful artists amongst all the seasons. The 36 year old artist who doesn’t mind being thought of as an American idol winner no matter what height he reaches in his career has had a successful seven year career with three albums, tours all over the world, an autobiography and a role on Broadway as Teen Angel in “grease” which gave way to a national tour all to his name. Taylor Hicks began a residency in Las Vegas – Bally’s which made the show move to a venue that is larger at Paris in Las Vegas, because of Hick’s popularity which has also seen his contract get extended to December 2013.
Taylor Hicks is a very gifted artist who can also play instruments such as the guitar, harmonica and the organ all of which he taught himself as a teenager. He recorded his first album in the year 1997 which demonstrated his soulful voice in the songs that were in the style of blue- roots. Due to his popularity he has been an opening act for famous artists like James Brown, Snoop Dogg, Keb Mo, Tom Petty and Jackson Browne.
After his success in the “American Idol” he got signed to Arista records and did his first single” Do I Make you proud” which made it big as it was debuted the number one place on the Bill board Hot 100 and later got the gold certificate.
Taylor Hicks will be bringing his show to Las Vegas as a part Caesar’s contract entertainment with him. He will be at Napoleans Lounge at the Paris Hotel which is in Las Vegas.
Hicks who says he enjoys the intimate setting of the venues says he looks forward to the performances and promises his audience an enjoyable time.
